Abstract

One of the goals of teacher education ought to be to dismantle the social ontology of whiteness.  Future teachers are born into social environments, institutional structures, histories, cultures, that have shaped them and the world around them.  They have a duty to resist and to dismantle whiteness.  All people do.  But especially teachers.
