Stream of Self-Consciousness

Abstract

This poem is a visual and descriptive experience of the process of engaging in the method of Currere. For the author, the method of Currere is reminiscent of releasing self to a descent below the intellectual noise that exists at the surface of consciousness in order to explore those deeper truths where the regressive and progressive inform us in our work and being, both as a society and as individuals. In this immersive, autobiographical moment, regressive and progressive realities facilitate the synthetical, a more honest, and holistic reflection of what we know and who we are. We emerge with a clearer sense of self--intellectually awake.
