Abstract

In this autobiographical essay, the author uses the metaphor of a rift between tectonic plates to trace her gradual understanding of dialogic learning. Accompanying the author on this intellectual journey is a steadfast teacher whose own procliviites for dialogic deliberation created spaces for exploration of unfamiliar theoretical terrains.
