Working with Counter-Narratives with my Students

Abstract

Is reading a text and listening lectures enough to know about teaching?   Are we telling a complete story?  How can we be more authentic when it comes to helping our students learn about teaching?   Are we missing critical narratives in thier learning?  How often do educators accept the textbook as the only narrative ?   Learn from an Assistant Professor in education how he reframed his classrooms to make spaces for counter narratives in the classroom.   Learn how it influences his students and even changed the way he teaches.   Read and perhaps reconsider how you use stories in your classroom.
